More on where to go to college

Last week I wrote a blog entry called "Where do you want to go to college if you want to be a CEO," starting from Carol Hymowtz provocative Wall Street Journal column "'Any College Will Do': Nation's Top Chief Executives Find Path to the Corner Office Usually Starts at State University."

This week, Hymowitz' column has lots of great reader feedback on the topic.  Its title is "What Role Colleges Play in Career Success Stirs Heated Debate" The lead tells the tale.

"Gauging from the scores of readers who responded to my recent column "Any College Will Do," the question of whether a degree from an elite school boosts one's chances for success in business is hotly debated. It's also an extremely emotional topic, because memories of the college application process trigger strong feelings of being either validated or rejected."

Wally Bock helps leaders at every level improve the performance and morale of the group they're responsible for. His latest book, Performance Talk: The One-on-One Part of Leadership, makes learning key leadership principles almost effortless because it teaches through a story, the way human beings have always learned complex lessons best.
