Some of the most interesting business articles seem to come across my screen during the weekend. Here are a few to start off your workweek. I'm pointing you to three articles about Google's attempt to rule the world, the changing world of declaring corporate bankruptcy, and the rise of LinkedIn.

Last week's newsletter was "The Natural Laws of Parties for Leaders." As usual there were pointers to Web and Reading Resources, too.

From Business Week: Google and the Wisdom of Clouds
"A lofty new strategy aims to put incredible computing power in the hands of many."

Wally's Comment: There are two stories here. One is the obvious story about Google and cloud computing and what it all means. The other is about Google's practice of allowing everyone to spend twenty percent of their time on whatever interests them.

Here are two more articles about Google and the way it's pushing out its frontiers. It's interesting to compare their relentless expansion and the press it doesn't get with what Microsoft got when their goal was to own the desktop.

From the New York Times: Google Gets Ready to Rumble With Microsoft
The growing confrontation between Google and Microsoft promises to be an epic business battle.

From the Wall Street Journal: Google Takes Aim at Wikipedia
"Google Inc. is taking aim at popular online encyclopedia Wikipedia with a new service that will let users write authoritative entries on subjects they know about -- and provide the Internet search engine with more content that can carry its ads."

From the Economist: The Walking Dead
"With credit conditions tighter, more companies will be pursued by their creditors. But restructuring is becoming increasingly complex, contentious and costly."

From Fortune: Why you'll finally use LinkedIn
"The buttoned-down social network has a new CEO, a growing membership, and an increasingly-useful set of features." money.cnn.com/2007/12/14/technology/fastforward_linkedin.fortune/index.htm
