If you're a boss, you know that every day is a challenge to do better. This tip is based on the same research I used to develop my programs and the Working Supervisor's Support Kit .

The 70 percent solution

Avoid "Paralysis by Analysis" with the 70 Percent Solution. It's based on the idea that an imperfect plan, vigorously executed today is usually better than that perfect or nearly perfect plan implemented out there in the future. When you think you've got 70 percent of the information you need, spring into action. Fortune favors the bold.

If you find these tips helpful, you should consider purchasing my Working Supervisor's Support Kit.

Wally's Working Supervisor's Support Kit is a collection of information and tools to help working supervisors do a better job. It's based on what Wally's learned in over twenty years of supervisory skills training. Click here to check it out.

Wise words. Thanks, Wally. I think this is especially relevant in the technology sector, where those who get out front first are often most successful -- both in the marketplace, and when it comes to defending challenges to their intellectual property rights. BTW, this post I saw yesterday on docstoc might interest those who like your post, as it talks about this point regarding Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook: "Don't Get Zuckerberged."
