If you're a boss, you know that every day is a challenge to do better. This tip is based on the same research I used to develop my programs and the Working Supervisor's Support Kit .
Act Consistently
Your team members crave consistency because they experience it as safety. Reward the same behavior and performance consistently. Encourage and counsel consistently. React to good and bad news predictably.
Working bosses identified Consistency as one of the eight characteristics of a great place to work. People hate uncertainty. Fight uncertainty with consistent behavior.
If you find these tips helpful, you should consider
purchasing my Working Supervisor's Support Kit.

She's mine, too, Jesse. The term "social media" covers a lot of tools and techniques that are evolving quickly. In that sort of situation, you need someone standing on the watchtower and calling out what to pay attention to and what you should ignore. Becky does that for me, which is why I added a link to her social media tips at the end of my Boss's Tips. Thanks for adding to the conversation.
