If you're a boss, you know that every day is a challenge to do better. This tip is based on the same research I used to develop my programs and the Working Supervisor's Support Kit .

A Simple Success Formula

I've known a lot of successful people and had some success myself. I've seen a lot of success formulas. Here's mine.

C + W + H + S + P = Success

That's a Clear goal plus Wise choices of what to do to achieve it plus Help from others plus Sweat plus Persistence equals Success.

It's not easy, but it should be fun, and it's pretty simple.

If you find these tips helpful, you should consider purchasing my Working Supervisor's Support Kit.

    Wally,

I think starting with a clear goal is sage advice. I've learned to take a lot more time asking myself the following question:

    What do you want?

Without knowing where you want to go, it's certainly a challenge to get there! And while this is a very simple question, I know I spent a lot of time in the past being unclear about what I wanted.

I also agree that help from others is huge. And that can come in many forms. Help might come from a friend, a co-worker, a mentor, another company, somebody who writes an article or posts a YouTube video with information that helps you better deal with your situation, etc.

Regarding sweat and persistence, it seems like the people who accomplish things are typically the ones who want them the most which is the driving force behind these two important components.

Thanks, Glen. I know that in my own life having a clear goal really helps me concentrate my energy and spot more opportunities.
