If you're a boss, you know that every day is a challenge to do better. This tip is based on the same research I used to develop my programs and the Working Supervisor's Support Kit .

Team and Team Member Performance

When you review performance you should review both team and team member performance. Pay attention to how team members work together and support each other. Be alert for situations where one person pulls the others down or lifts them up.

Look at individual team member performance, too. Take time every week to meet one-on-one with everyone on your team. Be alert for ways to help them grow and develop their skills, judgment, and confidence.
