If you're a boss, you know that every day is a challenge to do better. This tip is based on the same research I used to develop my programs and the Working Supervisor's Support Kit .
Creativity and Innovation
Creativity and innovation are two different things. Creativity is getting ideas. Innovation is turning those ideas into useful change.
If you want good ideas, you need to do have a lot of good ideas. That comes naturally to most people.
Then you have to capture those ideas. Ideas are like butterflies, they glide away on the wind unless you capture them. Record them. Write them down. Capturing ideas is the link between creativity and innovation.
Innovation is turning those ideas into something new and better. You combine and massage ideas, then turn them into action. That's innovation.
