If you're a boss, you know that every day is a challenge to do better. This tip is based on the same research I used to develop my programs and the Working Supervisor's Support Kit .

What will you learn today?

Learning is progress, so learn something new every day. Most learning doesn’t happen in the classroom. Learning is a natural part of life. It happens at work and at play, alone and with others. You can boost this natural learning easily.

At the start of your day, ask “What will I learn today?” Then decide on something specific to learn. This works better if you learn small, easy things or pieces of something bigger you want to know more about. Keep it simple, but make it intentional.

Wally's Working Supervisor's Support Kit is a collection of information and tools to help working supervisors do a better job. It's based on what Wally's learned in over twenty years of supervisory skills training. Click here to check it out.
